I am not much for summer blockbuster films, but I plan on making an exception for the a-team.

You will probably not gain any insight, fulfillment, or sense of well being by reading this blog. I will try and keep this light with some occasional heartfelt sentiment. My spelling and grammar is poor, deal with it. Last but not least this blog will be a lot more enjoyable for everyone if you speak YOUR opinion on it.

I never really watched the A-Team. I understand the nostalgia factor for those who watched it as kids, but I do hope the movie is at least a little better than the television series. I've even heard the creators say that it was virtually the same exact script for every episode, just insert different bad guys and change the size of the explosion. Maybe it's better suited for a one-time film than a series.
And I'm not ripping on fans of the A-Team. I was a huge Dukes of Hazzard guy at a young age, even wore cowboy boots in kindergarten. However, I saw an episode of that shitboat when I was about 15 and I have no idea what the appeal was. I mean, Daisy had a nice ass, but it was kind of gross the way her cousins were drooling over it. The rest of it was shit.
The 80s truly were the golden age of television. The critics were destroying all of these shows - the A-Team, Dukes, Incredible Hulk, etc. - but the ratings were through the roof.
Tk,
That trend continued into the 90s with shows like Full House, Family Matters, Saved By the Bell, etc. Television was pretty much awful for those years, but they killed in ratings. I would guess that had something to do with the limited amount of options for people to watch except what was put on network television. TV today has come so far, especially for premium networks like HBO and Showtime, they really upped the ante on what television could be. Now I rarely even watch a network television show except the office and occasionally check out Modern Family and the Community.
As for this film, I am holding no hope for the A-Team to be a good movie, it looks like all action, no substance. The only summer movie I am truly excited for is Inception with Leo.
