I have been a Cee Lo fan since his days with Goodie Mob, but he has really blown up recently with his collaboration work with Danger Mouse on Gnarls Barkley. This is a new song of his that has been floating around the intrawebs recently and I have to say it is quite catchy, but watch the volume.

So this guy has become famous for saving his sister from a would be rapist. But not famous for actually saving his sister from a rapist but acting like a tard when describing his heroic actions and threatening the would be rapist. The Auto-Tune the News group got a hold of the youtube video and turned it into a pretty catchy little diddy. Now you can buy this song on itunes and he is a god damn internet celebrity. The Auto-Tune the News group gives 50% of all their profits to the people like Antoine who they use in their comedy vids, pretty amazing for them to do that. These proceeds actually got Antoines family out the projects and now he has new house, an agent and all sorts of shit. God damn you internet, you are amazing and lame as shit all at the same time.
Side note not sure if you are aware of The Auto-Tune the News group, but the are hilarious (and the chick is hot). They just signed on to a deal with Comedy Central for their own show. Good things do happen to good people. Looking forward to this show.

Set Your DVR's Rex Ryan Is Must See TV

I have spent the last two weeks watching the last two seasons of HBO's hit show Hard Knocks which takes you inside and NFL training camp, raw and uncut. It is a great show, I mean you really get to see how hard these guys work, how tough it is to play football at the highest level, and you also get to learn some of the lesser know nuances of the game. Well this season they are going inside the Jets camp, and I have to say it was freaking awesome. If you have any interest in football or fatass coaches that like to use the F-bomb, you need to check this out. Rex Ryan steals the first episode, you can get a little NSFW tease below, and I fully expect this to be a theme of the season. I believe Hard Knocks is schedule for 8 1 hour episodes so set your DVR and thank me later.

Live Music Friday - Ween

Ween is a pretty good little American alternative band that has managed to make a living in the music business for around 25 years without most people ever hearing of them. I'll be honest, I was only familiar with them as they had popped up on a few movie soundtracks that had interested me, etc. They've never been tied down to any particular style of music, and have released tracks sounding anywhere from 60s psychedelic rock, punk, acoustic rock, soul, country, etc. It's always been two main dudes who have been friends since they were kids and then they have put together different backing bands over the years based upon what they are doing at the time. My favorite of their reincarnations was when they decided to put together an impressive line-up of Nashville studio musicians and cranked out a full album of new songs that all sound like fairly classic American country music, called 12 Golden Country Greats. The track below, "Piss Up a Rope," is a good, old-fashioned, can't-stand-my-woman rant in the country spirit. Enjoy.
