Best of 06'

#10 Great Friends and family- I always thought i had it good but in 06' I really realized how lucky I am to be blessed with such great friends and the best family in the world. Without them I could not have enjoyed any of these moments and I truly feel I am the luckiest person in the world.

#9 Apple River- first time without the rents (I know who would ever go there with ther parents but i was ten). All I can is I will be back to conquer that river again. Even though IIRC I think the river conquered me.

#8 Badger Football Saturday's- This will go down as the best year for Badger home games. i think I missed two but I made up for those in a big way. Funny how one of the best moments of 06' led to one of the worst (again sorry TK).

#7 24th Bday- What a day it was. It started bad, flat tire, but ended well. Fuentes never fails to live up to its billing as the best place to start off a night. Thanks again everyone who made it.

#6 LG 42" LCD TV- I know this is sad that a TV made my list but it is a fucking sweet TV.

#5 04' Grand Prix GT- This barely edged out the TV, but I do love the new wheels. Putting the old one down was tough to swallow but a car with a radio that works is fucking sweet.

#4 Marshall Fest- The day the Boss of the Sauce came to be. One of the best weekends of the year thanks to our new found friend the "Jungle Juice". This was made a little worse by all the banging that took place in my house by people other than me.

#3 I started my career- I have worked at LCG for over ten years but in 06' I got the first taste of what I will be doing for the next 30 years and I really enjoy it.

#2 Graduating College- Wow it took 5 1/2 years but it was such a good time in my life. As much as I like to look back at all of those wonderful memories I enjoy looking forward to what it is going to prepare me for, even more.

#1 Buying my first home- I bought a place that probably was not safe to spend a night in and with the help of the worlds best dad, we have turned it into a beautiful first home. The best part is my roomies are helping me pay for it. Thanks guys.

Lets here how 06' was great for everyone else. Anyone can post on my new blog so lets hear it.

My worst of 06'

#10 Let myself balloon to 296. I have since harnessed that in but I made my all-time high in 06'.

#9 Puked all over my the backseat of my cousin Tim's Honda Pilot. Definitely not one of my proudest moments. Looking back the story does provide a good laugh and that night did inspire the name of this blog.

#8 Received over ten parking tickets five of which are still currently unpaid. I needed a car for the class I took over the winter break. I did well in the class but I ended up just piling up the tickets. Nothing like donating your money to the city of Milwaukee.

#7 Pinching a nerve in my neck drunk wrestling. One of the most nagging injuries I have ever had and if you know me you know I have had a lot. What a pain in the arse it took 6 months to heal completely.

#6 Tried to quit chewing and started smoking only to go back to smoking and chewing. Tobacco owns my ass and it is time to get on top of this.

#5 Got caught cheating in one of my classes which downgraded two full letter grades. When you are a "C" student going in and you take away two letter grades, that's right you guessed it, I got an "F".

#4 Having to cancel my trip to Europe see #2.

#3 Catching my first, and knock on wood my only, STD. Yes I caught the clap luckily, luckily, luckily it is one of the only curable STD's and a weeks worth of medicine and I got the clean bill of health. I will say an STD test is one of the most uncomfortable things a man can do. I cannot wait for a prostate exam. I actually found out that I weighed 296 that day too so it was a double kick to the nuts.

#2 Not graduating on time because I flunked a class because i got caught cheating. Calling my relatives and telling them there will not be a graduation party was horrible. Cancelling my trip to Europe so i could take summer school was worse. It was definitely a learning experience.

#1 Breaking up with my girlfriend of over 3 years. It wasn't really something i wanted or I thought we needed but it was probably time to move on. Unfortunately i am not sure if I completely have.

I will be posting my best of 06' later in the day. Let me here your best of 06'.

Best of 06': Movies

#10 Inside Man: Now I will be the first to say that I am so sick of bank robber movies or heist movies in general. However Clive Owen and Denzel deliver a solid action packed movie that will keep you guessing. Loved the fact that they did not stick to the same played out heist storyline.

#9 Borat: Very Nice! This was the funniest movie I saw all year and I am kind of dissapointed to say that. Not because this is not good, but this was a bad year for comedies. Baron Cohen, after stumbling in Taladega Nights, really delivers.

#8 The Da Vinci Code: This was a pretty good movie. I was one of the one hundred people out there never to read the book and I think that is why I liked it more. So this will not be one of those it was not as good as the book, no shit. Hanks, is probably the most versatile actor ever and delivers another strong performance.

#7 The Omen: A remake of a classic thriller I thought this was the best scary movie of 06'. I dont mind where the new genre of horror movie is going (gory, slasher, with a lot of TNA) but those movies to not scare me. This movie did have me on the edge of my seat.

#6 Clerks 2: This was a great follow up to a classic. Is it as good probably not but Kevin Smith can still write good dialogue, which was evident in the hilarious bit comparing the two trilogies LOTR and Star Wars.

#5 Miami Vice: This movie did not do that well in the theatres but I thought it was one of the best looking films I have ever scene. Well shot in beautiful locations. Michael Mann can depict action more realistically than any other director IMO.

#4 Casino Royale: I am a huge fan of the Bond movies and think Daniel Craig will be the best bond ever because I think he is the best actor of any of the bonds. He is believable in this role much more so than Brosnan. I think the biggest success of this film was instead of developing gadgets that you can use at some ridiculously ideal time they decided to develop characters and plot lines.

# 3 The Good Shephard: I will say I love in depth movies and this one was a tough one to watch. They throw so much information at you it is hard to digest it all. DeNiro does do a good job of telling a real story and it is safe to say that in 06' Matt Damon put his name up there with DiCaprio, Hanks, and Depp as the best at there craft.

#2 The Proposition: A movie that many did not hear about but left a great impression on me. Westerns are not what I would call my favorite movies but when done right can be great movies, Tombstone and Unforgiven come to mind, unlike those movies this one did not have an all-star cast and yet still delivered. Guy Pearce is great and the realistic violence in this movie is chilling. A great buy with all of those holiday gift cards.

#1 The Departed: I think this is the only movie I have seen that I could honestly say four actors could win academy awards for there performances. Wahlberg, Nicholson, Damon, and DiCaprio are all great. Scorcese should finally win his academy award. I am not saying this is as good as Goodfellas, but it is damn close.

10 Things to do

With the new year right around the corner I have been thinking about possible things that I should strive for in 07'. Goals if you will. This got me thinking of what I would like to accomplish for the rest of my life and I think this is a pretty good list. I guess the way I am looking at this is if I manage to do these ten things I will be able to die a happy man.

#10 Travel to over half of the continents. I would have said all but I don't think that will be realistic and who wants to travel to Antarctica. I guess I would have say my choices for three besides North America would be South America, Europe, and Africa.

# 9 Complete one physical accomplishment. I would say that I used to be in much better physical condition than I am now. So I would really like to accomplish one physical milestone. For instance a marathon, a whole-in-one, bench press 300 lbs, dunk a basketball, climb a mountain etc.

# 8 Change someones life forever. I know this hard to know if you ever did but if I think that I did do this (and I mean in a positive way). I will also say it cannot be my own children or family because I probably have done that LOL. I want someone to think of me and say "wow Big Tasty really changed my life for the better"

# 7 Conquer my fear of heights. Now this is a strange fear because I love roller coasters and airplanes, but you put me on a ten foot ladder and you can see a pool of my urine under me. I don't know if I am willing to bungee jump but that just may do the trick.

# 6 Retire by 55 with enough money to live comfortable. 30 years at a profession is long enough. I want to have enough time to enjoy a long retirement and not worry about when my imaginary social security check is going to show up.

# 5 Be able to sing a karaoke song and get a big ovation. I do not get embarrassed, but I also cannot sing a lick. So as much as I would love to get on stage an wow an audience with an awesome rendition of some classic song this seems utterly impossible to me. SO i guess first muster up the courage to do karaoke (I have never even tried) get good enough at one song to impress.

#4 Put all of my children through college while maintaining a loving open relationship with them. I really think that if I can look back and say I did this I will be happy with my job as a parent.

#3 Find a soul mate. I know this may seem quite gay, but I do believe there is someone out there that is perfect for me and I need to find her. I don't know how your life can be complete without.

#2 Have sex with two chicks at the same time. I only expect male readers to understand this, but I have to know.

#1 Not to outlive any of my children. As bad as it sounds children should attend the funerals of there parents and not the other way around. I know you cannot really plan your death but I really do not want to out live any of the children I plan on having.

Please tell me your pursuit of happiness and the stops you would like to make along the way.
