Yes or favorite villain from Naked Gun has passed. Here is a great tribute if you aske me.

College Basketball Preview Part I

I will take you around the college basketball landscape giving you a little preview of the conferences along with conference player of the year and freshman of the year predictions. Excuse me if you are not a college basketball fan, but I am a huge fan, and I will be posting a lot about a couple of my favorite teams.

Big Ten

Winner- Michigan State
The Spartans have pretty much everyone returning from a team that surprised many last year. You cannot keep Tom Izzo down for long and with Ohio State reeling a bit from the loss of Oden, Cook, and Conley this will be his year to get back on top of the conference. Led by my Player of the Year Drew Neitzel, who should lead the conference in scoring, as well as solid wing Raymar Morgan, the Spartans should have more depth to push the pace a bit more. Inside depth is still an issue, and Morgan will probably still be used out of place on the interior, however Izzo always seems to have big bodies capable of rebounding and playing physical defense. Throw in two talented Freshman guards Kalin Lucas and Chis Allan and there is no reason they shouldn’t be playing until the second weekend of the tournament.

Player of the Year- Drew Neitzel (MSU)
When looking at Neitzel you would think he was the last picked in most pickup games. He is 6’1” and maybe 160 lbs. What makes him so great is his shooting ability and his ability to get his shot seemingly whenever he wants. He is an underrated passer and setup man, but his unlimited range makes him the player to beat for this award.

Freshman of the Year – Eric Gordon (Indiana)
No incoming Freshman in this conference has nearly the hoopla that Gordon has received. Much of that has been positive, and I have read reports that believe Gordon will lead the hoosiers in scoring as a freshman. The 6’3” combo guard is considered to be the next Allen Iverson, will be counted to live up to the hype if the hoosiers have any shot at winning the conference.

Big East

Winner-Lousville
It seems as if the Cardinals have 2-3 good years followed by one down year and then back to the top. Well I would hardly call last years tournament team a down year, but they were a very green team, and the added experience should bode well for this years team. Pitino needs a lot of athletes to run his system and that is exactly what he has. The Cardinals are loaded up front with Scott (Brian Butch II) Padgett, Milt Palacios, Earl Clark, and the enigma Derrick Character. If Character who was dubbed the next Shaq coming out of high school can keep his weight down, expect a break out year, and if they can get some consistent perimeter shooting from Jerry Smith, Edgar Sosa, and Terrence Williams this team could be my sleeper to cut down the nets in April.

Player of the Year- Roy Hibbert (Georgetown)
I was real close to giving this to Marquette’s Dominick James, but I don’t think he can have the same impact that a Roy Hibbert can have. Take a look at the game against Oden last year when Hibbert more than held his own to the phenom. I was surprised he came back but it can only improve his skills even if it hurts his draft position. Hibbert is a game changing center in an era where they don’t exist. Sign him up as first team All-American right now.

Freshman of the Year- Donte Green (Syracuse)
It will be hard for this phenom not to hear comparisons to Carmelo Anthony, because he is the same size, from the same area (Baltimore), and is now going to the same school. I don’t think he can match the production that Melo had as a Freshman nor the end results, but this kid is for real, and will lead Syracuse back in the dance.

Big 12

Winner- Kansas
I know Bill Self has never appeared in a Final Four, but it isn’t for the lack of putting good teams into the dance. Once again his Jayhawks are loaded and besides the loss Julian Wright, the Jayhawks have everyone back. Look for Darrell Arthur and Sherron Collins to have breakout years in there sophomore seasons. Brandon Rush is coming off what seems to be a long list of injuries, but if he is healthy I see no reason why this cannot be Kansas year to see the final four.

Player of the Year- Brandon Rush (Kansas)
Rush, who once was a sure-fire top ten draft pick, who may no longer be the best talent on his own team is coming off off-season knee surgery. He may no longer be the NBA prospect he once was but he is still a hell of a college player. There is nothing Rush cannot do with the ball in his hands and he forces defense to always account for him. I expect a strong junior season, catapulting him back into the first round.

Freshman of the Year- DeAndre Jordan (Texas A&M)
This 7’ Freshman from Houston looks like a one and done type player. He can really get up and down the court for a big man and is a monster on both ends of the court. Paired up with another low post force in Joseph Jones, and Aggies shouldn’t drop off much. Expect a double-double machine from day one from the talented Jordan.

ACC

Winner- North Carolina
When Roy Williams put together back to back classes with Hasborough, Frasor, Ginyard and then Lawson, Ellington, and Brandon Wright I really thought he had put together a core that would win a national championship. Although Wright left after one year for the challenge of the NBA, I still think this is the best core of players in college basketball. Throw in two underrated post players in Deon Thompson and Alex Stephenson and this team seems to be a shoe in for the final four.

Player of the Year- Tyler Hansborough (UNC)
Notice a trend the best teams normally have the best players, and although it pains me to say that Hansborough is the best player in this league, he is probably the best player in all the country. He relentless work ethic is hard not to love even if you hate the Heels like I do. He is almost guranteed to put up 18-10 every night. This guy was a stud from the moment he set foot on Chapel Hill and his next step is leading his team to the Championship.

Freshman of the Year- Kyle Singler (Duke)
You knew I couldn’t go a whole college basketball preview without giving some love to Duke. Singler is capable of being the player that leads Duke back to the final four. He is being compared to Mike Dunleavy but as a Freshman Singler is already a more talented player. What makes him that is his ability to do everything on the court, and the fact that he is a winner. Earned co-player of the year in the state of Oregon, which doesn’t mean much until you know he shared the award with, everyones favorite Freshman, UCLA bound Kevin Love. Singler will be counted on to produce from day one and will be thrust into a leadership role right away.

Humpday: Tia Carrere

Tia, has always been a favorite of mine, but the reason for her appearance on humpday, is she will be starring in the new season of Nip/Tuck. Though I dont expect the ratings as Relic Hunter, she seems perfect for the role as a Dominatrix. Sound hot, she is, Enjoy!

Motivational Speech

I am posting this because I always want to have a link of this close. I have seen this over 20 times and it never gets old. Plus, watching Jimmy V gets me excited for college basketball. I will have a little college basketball preview for later in the week.

Humpday: Hope Solo

This American team vixen is the reason her coach was fired this week, due to the outrage in her not playing in the world cup semifinal. Coach I hope the reason you didnt play her was because you wanted to see her up close and personal the whole game. Anyways I couldnt find many good pics and if anyone has them let me know. Enjoy what I could find!

Friday Rant: Gayest Post Ever

I dont know if it is the weather or what, but I awoke and immediately started feeling shitty. Not in the sick way, just feeling sorry for myself, I have one of these days every couple or months or so where I just let my insecurities run wild for a day, and I usually like to suppress any emotional problem the old fashion way with a bottle of whisky, but today I just thought I would vent in my gournal. Basically I have this fear of not being liked, I try my hardest to be liked by as many people as possible, and though I do my share of fucking around and pissing people off, I think most people would agree I try to make sure people like me. I have a lot of friends, a lot of good friends, more than the average person even. Still I have days where I look at myself and wonder why the fuck would anyone ever be friends with me, what do I have to offer, or what makes me special. On these days my confidence is non existent, and I pout like a baby, pondering so many things like "what is there to like", "do my friends really care about me", "do I really care about them, or do I just surround myself with fun loving people so I dont have days like this". Anyways most of the time all I am looking for is somebody to tell me that I matter, and I am important to them. However, today I finally realized how pathetic that type of behavior is. Before you think of this as a cry for help, please realize that I am disgusted by my inability to feel worthy of friendship or love. Its like dude cry me a fucking river, so you thing you arent loved, how about dealing with some real problems and quit being such a fucking pussy. I just dont understand why the human pyche works like this. I mean why do I need to feel important, or why do I need to feel like I am important in other peoples lives? Cant just making yourself be a better person be good enough. I dont want to sound like i have a million problems because I know i am one lucky son of a bitch that worries less than most, but what the fuck why do somedays I feel like such a pussy! I mean I know I have close friends that would be there for me through thick and thin, that love me for who I am, and I do not need to do anything for there affection. Still I always wonder what is it in a person that makes them do things just for the purpose of being liked, is being like essential to survival? Most doubtedly no! Fuck, I look at my old man and he could give to shits about being liked by anyone. I guess what I am trying to say, is feeling like shit today a product of me just having a low self esteem or maybe just a bad morning, or is there something in human nature that says a human must feel loved and must feel like he is important to everyone else he associates with? Maybe I didnt breast feed long enough. Maybe my mom just teased me with the nipple and gave me the bottle, what ever it is it has caused me to write the gayest blog post of all time. I guess it is time for me to take some of my own advice for once, and stop writing these posts about "the day i realized nobody liked me" boo fucking hoo deal with it!

C-Weed's Weekend Recap

I figure why not, people know there are more than just one author of this blog and after reading Big Tasty's recap. I am thinking people are going "huh, I wonder how C-Weed's weekend was?" so here we go...
Friday night my dad made me drink a lot of vodka with him. Woke up at about 530am on Saturday and went bow hunting with my buddy Senior B, he picked me up, wow what a friend! Perfect morning, saw 4 small does and a nubber chasing and grunting after the first 2 I saw, that was funny. My buddy Serb didn’t see any. Highlight of the afternoon was going to hookers for lunch (biggest burger of my life) and drinking a few mason jar wicky sows. Big Tasty's party was good got there bout 5 Palmer and I finished off a 18pk started drinking vodka red bull dubbles went to the bars at 1030 ( I think) and Callie had to take me home at 1145pm. They had a DJ at prairie, she told me I had a dance off with a black guy but when it was my time to save the last dance and rip this brotha a new one I just did the running man and spilled my beer all over the dance floor and the black guy wouldn't dance anymore. So wait I guess I won then, I smoked dat foool. Then I was dancing with some chick and I guess some old dude came up to me and started talking shit to me so I called him a fucking dick and walked away I guess it was his wife and I was sexy dancing her a lil too hard. I went back to Callie and she asked me why that guy was yelling at me? I told her he said I wasn’t tall enough to be on the dance floor so I called him a fucking dick and left, eventually I told her the real story. I don’t remember any of this. I only remember flashes from the night like blurry clown faces and sea kings shaking tridents at my drunkin defeat. To cap the night off when I got home I slipped in to something a little more comfortable, my bare skin. Ate half a cheesecake that my parents neighbor made special for my dad and passed out on the couch. Happy birthday Matt. Sunday morning I yelled at my mom because she asked me if my shirt was new. She always does this and its annoying. I really didn't yell at her but I expressed my annoyance. My dad laughed. Then I drove home probably shouldn't of drove home seeing as how I was still drunk from the night before, and it was like 1230pm. But I did what anyone who shouldn't be behind the wheel and went straight to taco bell and got a few things to nibble on the way home. Got home and slept on the couch till Dexter came on Showtime. So thats it, that was my weekend, you are all jealous aren't you. My weekends are so glamorous and hollywood-esq. I know, I don't know how I do it weekend week out. But if Brittany can do it then any hobo can. oh and I took like thirteen shits through out all of it.

Weekend: Recap

My birthday weekend was well, what any 25 year old would want, drunk. Ok maybe not any 25 year old, but this one who was going through a mid life crisis, a weekend of debauchery was exactly what I needed. Make sense? Friday night we went downtown and that turned out to be a great time. Hit up some great drink specials, was with some great friends, did some dancing, and actually went home with a girl, though that was not really a happy ending, spilling a full soda all over her parents hard wood floors, oops! Saturday morning my roommate jake started it off right by making me breakfast, wow what a guy. Between puking and breakfast and the typical morning wake and bake, I had a lot of shit to do before my party started. We cleaned and prepared food until about noon, and then people started showing up. My mom and dad brought my present over and I have to say it is the best present I have ever gotten. My mom made me, i repeat made me, a platform bed. These beds cost like $2500 dollars and she made it, I was so impressed. It is the type of gift that I will be giving to my kids and hopefully they do the same, my mother is a talented lady, and I always knew this, but this seriously still impressed the shit out of me. I did get some other great gifts as well: a used baseball bat, a bottle of knob creek, an exclamation point, and a coupon for a free house cleaning. I thought it was a great haul for me considering I wasnt expecting anything. The Badger game was a complete waste of time, I couldnt stomach to even watch the second half. It was disgusting, and the only good thing that happened this weekend for the Badgers as far as i am concerned is the Badger Basketball team started practice on Friday. After numerous games of dice, in which Aaron and Shana teamed up to run the train on us, we decided it was time to head to Marshall for the real party. Aaron, I am going to smoke in your parents house by the way, my dad was real impressed when i told him it was you. Anyways we headed to Marshall and that is where it gets kind of hazy. I remember there was a very good turnout and that made my night. I saw a lot of friends that I hadnt seen in a while and we just had a great time. The jukebox got punished, we ran pretty much VIP style all night, and I didnt pay for one single drink, THANKS PUB! I did however manage to lose my keys, wallet, and cell phone during the night. I pretty much went night night around 2 am and missed out on what sounded like a wonderful evening of extracurriculars. I am horrible at making the ABAR. I suppose it doesnt help when you are downing shots all night. Anyways after I kicked everyone out and we cleaned the place up a bit, I pretty much was glued to the couch for the next 10 hours before heading to bed. All in all it was a wonderful night, and I just wanted to thank everyone that made it so. It was up there as one of the best birthdays I ever had, and I think that is do to the fact that my friends are a really good time. Next up....the night before thanksgiving!

Finally, Top Gun Explained

This is why I love Tarantino, This is a audition tape or something, for the whole explanation go to Filmdrunk.com. Tarantino explains why Top Gun is about coming out of the closet and not solely about how gay Tom Cruise is going to become. Brilliant enjoy!

10-12-1982

25 years ago, I was chopped out of my mothers stomach, shit time goes by fast, especially when the majority of the time you are wasting it. Yes today is my birthday and i had a weird feeling when I awoke. Thinking back on some of my memories the passed twenty five years, and boy do I have a lot of them, but reflecting on birthdays just makes you feel old. And although my lack of physical activities has me feeling like I am 35, in my mind I think I still act very youthful, and have enjoyed putting of growing up. Now I am 25 and though I dont have to have shit figured out, when i woke up this morning I had a definite feeling that i needed to start figuring out where i want this life to go. Like a little message from the benevolent one saying, "well you managed to get this far, now what". Truth be told and as you may already know, i reflect all the time, and birthdays seem to always be a time when you look back. I say fuck that instead of reflecting on my birthday today I am looking forward to the next 25 years. I am looking forward to all those things I have yet to accomplish, or cannot wait to begin. Family, marriage, a successful career, seeing the world, an asian chick etc. I figured out while I hit the snooze for the 6th time, that yes I did have a wonderful first 25 years, but what is next up for big tasty? NOW WHAT... Well I wish I had some idea of what is up, but I am just going to take it as it comes and fucking DEAL WITH IT. Right or wrong, that is how I am going to live the next 25 years. Will I still reflect, of course, I like looking at all my mistakes and laughing. However, I believe what I am going to try and do a better job of is looking ahead. Right now I am thinking about getting super fucked up this weekend, but if I were to think of something else, I would say that of my 25 years all but about 2 months were extremely happy. I have lived it my way, and I am proud of that. I wish I could add some words of wisdom as a parting shot, but honestly the only thing that I can really say is, why cant getting old be the best part of life? I mean each year you have something to build on, if you keep trying to live hard, have fun, and better yourself, than getting older should be the best fucking thing you do!

Top Ten: Blogs!

The only reason I started blogging is because how cool these sites are. Quit fucking laughing assholes and hear me out. The internet is obviously the greatest thing ever invented outside of maybe birth control and whisky, but it is not always the easiest to get around. You couple that with the fact, that most site you go to, now you have to pay to get the insider comments, and get all the benefits, and wala thank god for blogs. The best blogs are either a site with a lot of insight on one specific topic, think wikipedia, or a site that compresses all the things you enjoy about the internet to one single page. Unfortunately my blog misses badly in both categories. It would be fucking gay to include mine on a best of list anyways! So hear goes it my top 10 blogs.

#10 Jake Woods Blog Link

Jake Wood is a former Badger who is now a Marine. He gives a chilling inside look at what life is like in Iraq for a Marine. He has actually gotten a lot of publicity since War blogging has become a major concern for our government. Apparently they dont want us knowing what is going on. Imagine that.

#9 Rod Benson's Blog Link

Who the hell is Rod Benson you ask? Well he is a basketball player who isnt quite good enough to stick with a team. You may have heard of Paul Shirley he does a similar blog, but I think this one is much gooder. This is a hilarious inside look at a person so close to stardom, but not quite there. Basically a day in the life of a guy, who sees what it is like to be famous, wants to get there badly, but just isnt there yet.

#8 Conference Poon Blogs Link NSFW

I only linked one of them, but every conference has them. A great place, for a low life like me to look at the one thing that keeps me pushing forward. A nice piece or arse!

#7 Mixed Martial Arts Blog Link

The UFC is blowing up, and I will admit it has me hooked like Lohan is on...ok lame joke. However this MMA is the next big sport in this country and these guys are the best I have found on covering. Great analysis, as well keeping you up to date on all the fight world happenings.

#6 Sensual Arousal Blog Link NSFW

Ok guys know what I am talking about here. You are sitting home on your computer and you want to check out some tail without any fucking hassles. No sign ups, no spam, no navigating through 4 million websites. Well this is the site for you, guys, written by a bi-curious female that shares the same love of the female form.

#5 The Bachelor Guy Blog

Link

Just a Great site for guys, plain and simple. Find anything from booze reviews, to date ideas, to stupid links, to FAQs on everything you need to know that deals with being a man. Think Maxim.

#4 With Leather Blog Link

The next three are all written by the same guys. These guys are hilarious, and also give a lot of insite on the biggest stories. This one involves is dedicated to sports, and everything funny that happens in sports.

#3 What Would Tyler Durden Do Link

This is a great celebrity gossip blog. Actually let me rephrase that, a great place to visit if you love the misfortunes of celebrities. Britany shows bush, Lohan out of control, come here if you want to read it first.

#2 Film Drunk Link

I just started reading this one and i am hooked. A great blog for movie news, and it seems this guy and I have a very similar taste in movies. Plus we love rippin on all those summer blockbusters that make this world a terrible place to live. Movie lovers check it out.

#1 Tucker Max's Blog

Link

Actually reading some of his short stories is what inspired me to blog. So you can comment on his page for me being such a douche. Seriously this guy is hilarious, and if you dont like assholes finishing first, the title of his second book actually, then you wont like this site. Tucker is an asshole, he treats women like shit, you wont stand for most of the things he believes in, but you wont be able to stop reading either. Check out the blog and then his website.

Weekend Recap

What a wild weekend it was in GB. Not suprising as that is a very underrated Wisconsin city in terms of partying. Me and a couple of buddies arrived in GB Friday night, and pretty much ate and drank until I left Monday afternoon. My buddy Mark's mother is quite a host, as she had every meal planned out, and I mean a huge spread for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Got up ate and start drinking, one bloody mary and on to whisky. That is a very hard regiment to keep up over three days. Friday night I made yet another appearance at the Bodyshop, not sure why, this is by far the worst strip club in all of Wisconsin. My buddy Gruny and I were there a half hour sitting around the stage and we didnt get one set of titties in our face. These girls do not have the kind of financial security, in which they can pass on easy money from a couple of drunkos. Anyways we got picked up there, and headed home for what was a quiet finish to the evening. Saturday we got up and watched Bucky, boy did they break my heart, and my pocket book for that matter. i thought the Badgers were going to break out in this game and show the country they are for real, but saddly they just arent good enough. They got owned on the ground, and though TD has more ability than any QB i have seen in a Badger uniform, his two int's sealed a terrible loss in Champagne. The season is not lost but, a big ten Championship seems unlikely for a team that gives up about 200 yards on the ground per game. I decided to drown my sorrow, and did so over a couple of games of Halo, and a lot of B.S. with Marks old man. That guy can sure have a drunk conversation. I think we talked about the Brewers and Packers for 2 hours, and he downed about a 12ver in the meantime. Impressive feat. Saturday night we went out downtown GB and it was a great time. Lots of beautiful babies, and the shots were flowin. Well not that one shot of Wild Turkey, Lauer you still owe me one! At one point in the evening I made out with a girl from a wedding party, and look over 2 minutes later, and see my buddy Pat making out with the same girl. It was that type of crazy night. I wanted to pass out at the bar, but instead hopped a cab back to Marks solo. I got back and found all the doors were locked. Instead of calling mark to get his garage code, I figured I would hop the neighbors fence, then hop Marks parents fence and check the back door. Well I havent hopped a fence in a while, and I got about half way over, top of the fence creases and I fall flat on my face. I hope the other fence and all the doors are locked. Go back over the fences ring the door bell, and Kathy lets me in. Apparently I passed out before all the fun happened that night, as one of my buddies, hooked up with another buddies sister, and left the used rub at the scene of the crime for Marks parents to find the next day. Suprising they were able to laugh it off, where as my parents would have just kicked everyone out. Sunday we prettty much did nothing until 230, then we headed down to the stadium for some tailgaiting. What a day for a October Packer game. Tailgaiting went well and we all were feeling good heading to the bars. I decided to try and win some money back and bet all my friends $10 that the Bears would win. As I recall they were giving me shit the whole first half and when the Bears starting doing there thing, I was giving it back ten fold and when the words werent getting it done I had to resort to force. I have found that if I drink whisky on consecutive nights, that second night, I am going to be an agry drunk. My friends didnt like me too much on Sunday, but to there chagrin, I passed out first again. Not before a naked walk back by two of my buddies, in which they were dancing naked in front of a couple of buses. I dont remember much from there, but i saw some funny pictures of me passed out on Marks pool table, which proved i not only that I had fun, but I am also quite a degenerate. Anyways, Monday I spent most of the day looking for things that i lost i.e. phone, keys, wallet, herb. Found everything by lunch and headed home. I laid in bed the rest of the day swearing I would never drink again. Only time will tell. This weekend I am officially hitting mid-life as I am having my 25th birthday. Yeah it has been 25 years since the Brewers made the World Series, sadly. Looking for some good birthday ideas, so far all I can come up with is party at my place. Suggestions are welcome! Until then I will be recovering from another great weekend in GB.

Thursday Rant

Well it has been a quiet week on the blog, not much going on with me. In fact I never thought it would be possible to have zero worries, but I am eerily close to being able to say that. I got my patio poured, so that leaves little work to be done around the house. Work has slowed a bit; I expect that to be short lived, as we have a lot of projects that still need to be finished before the year ends. Currently I am winding down a bunch of projects and waiting for some other ones to get going. I could be worrying about finding a woman, but I am constantly searching so that doesn’t seem like something I have to worry about. I will say that I really need to stop looking at girls I am friends with as possible girls to date. I have gotten the old “Matt, I could see us working out but if we take our relationship further I am afraid it will jeopardize our friendship” enough times that I could write the book on “Taking Plutonic Friendships to the Next Level, Are you Fucking Kidding?” What is funny about that is I usually put up a wall when I go on dates or hang out with girls I know nothing about, it is hard to let them in and let them know exactly what type of person I am. With a girl that I already know that is easy, they already know exactly what kind of guy I am. 10 times out of 9 that is a bad thing, but at least I can be honest. However when I am attracted to a friend or a girl that I have known for a while, and I am I try and pursue something above and beyond, I find that they know too much to actually fall for me, or I have slept with one of there friends, and they don’t feel like they can boldly go where, no woman has gone. It doesn’t help that I have a tape of me and my small penis making its rounds around the internet, damn modern technology. I have a lot of skeletons apparently. What I am trying to say, is if you are a girl that is friends with me and possible wanted something further to happen, put out the signs now or forever hold your peace. I am going straight Jackie Treehorn on the ladies from now on, and there will be no make friends first sexy time later. It will be make sexy time first, make friends never! With that being said and I know I sounded like I was bitching, but this is a vent thread, I am completely free of stress, and I have to say it is a damn good feeling. Though it really begs the question, without any stress is there any need to continue to destroy your body with drugs and alchohol? The simple answer to that is of course yes, but it is something that I think needs to be pondered.

I am getting away this weekend, I am heading up North to GB for a little partying weekend. These never get old with me, and anytime I get to hang out with my favorite Retzlaff, Roy, I am ecstatic. Roy, may be a little hard to take this year, as he is a die hard Packer fan, and I of course am not. However, I predict a bears victory in Green Bay changing his tune a bit. We don’t have tickets to the game, not that it matters as last year we had 4 tickets and nobody even wanted to go in. Seeing a night game at Lambeau would be fun, but so would seeing a night game from a bar right across the street from Lambeau. Im guessing I will have a few stories to report on Monday, as this weekend has become legendary to those in attendance. Needless to say I am little excited to take my game north.

As many of you know I had this dream of writing a screen play just for the hell of it. The story is going to be loosely based on the life of one of my good friends’ fathers, who is a Vietnam veteran, and was involved in a diamond heist, while he was in Vietnam (True Story). Although I truly do plan on trying to write that story, and maybe even get some friends together to shoot a couple of scenes, that is going to have to wait while I start chapter one of my memoirs. That is right, this pretentious asshole is writing a little mock autiobiography, chronicling some of the stories that have been told on this blog. I don’t think I am a good enough writer to complete a full autobiography, and I don’t think anyone would read it if I did, but while reading one of my favorite blogs I got this idea stuck in my head. Im not sure if any of you have read Tucker Max’s blog, it is linked on this site, but he is just a normal guy who has now sold the rights to his life story to be turned into a TV show as well as a movie. He is absolutely hilarious and I encourage all of you to read some of his stuff. Ladies be warned, he is somewhat of a pig, but a funny pig at that. When it comes to writing I am nowhere near his level, as he can narrate better than most novelists I have ever read, but I figure what way to become a better writer than to write, and sadly the only thing I know enough to write a story about is, well, me! That being said, I don’t even know how to start this, but over the next couple of months I am going to try my best to get one chapter done. If it goes well I may continue. I am not sure I will let anyone read it, like I said I have a fear that it is going to be shitty, but if I do get some feedback that it is funny I will for sure post it on Deal With It.

That is it, the news I have to report. A brief recap: none of my chick friends will do me, and I am going to start treating objects like women, though I am not getting any ass I can report I am free of all stress and worries, I am putting the Ron Vietnam story on hold, while I write a story about myself that nobody will care to read, and I have a little dick…Deal With It!

Brewers: Recap

As you may know by reading this blog I did a little MLB preview back in April. I predicted the Brewers could win 90 games this year if everything went right, and it most certainly did not. They did however have there first winning season since 1992 winning 83 games and finishing second to the Cubs, my pick to win the division.

What went right for the crew:

The Brewers had career years from a bunch of young players and stellar debuts from a few more. Prince Fielder had an MVP caliber year, though I dont think he will win it. He did smash 50 HRs drove in 119 RBIs and slugging % of over .615%. JJ Hardy probably was the most pleasant suprise of the year coming off ankle surgery, Hardy hit 26 homers and drove in 80 RBIs, though much of that damage came in the beginning of the year. Corey Hart, my favorite the Brewers best all-around player, had an outstanding year. Hart had 24 HRs, 23 steals, 86 runs, and 81 rbis, while he played very good defense all over the outfield. The young Brewers also unveiled to future all stars to the rest of the league. Ryan Braun, looks like he was deserving of that 5th overall selection in the 2005 draft. Amazingly he was picked behind two other third baseman. Though his glove might not be as good as the two picked ahead of him his bat is well ahead. The Brewers waited 7 weeks before calling up the young RH from Miami, but he did not dissapoint. Braun blasted 34 HRs and drove 97 while carrying a .324 BA. Those numbers should garnish him the rookie of the year. Braun would not be the only rookie to impress, Yovanni Gallardo (9-5 3.67era) and Carlos Villanueva (8-5 3.94 era) were probably the Brewers best two starters down the stretch. If these Brewers keep developing the future looks very bright.

-What went wrong:
The pitching staff that was supposed to be the strength of the ball club just did not have enough depth to hold up over the long season. Part of that problem was do to the horrible inconsistency of Dave Bush, Chris Capuano, and Claudio Vargas. They just could not be depended on to provide quality innings every 5th day, and in Capuano's case, the former all-star was demoted to the pen and the Brewers lost 19 consecutive games in which he appeared. OUCH!!! The bullpen at one point of the season was considered the Brewers strength, but our favorite bullpen arm and manager Ned Yosts' apparent gay lover, Derrick Turnbow, blew what seemed to be countless leads, in the most crucial of moments. Look for Turnbow and Yost to gone this off season. Fransico Cordero has an all-star year notching 44 saves, but it wasnt enough to catapult the crew into the playoffs. The bullpen was quite frankly awful down the stretch and that is where the most work will needed to be done this offseason. Bill Hall the Brewers suprise of last season, was in a funk all year, and now there are questions to as his place with the ball club. The good news is Hall's versatility adds a lot of value to him and if the Brewers do move him I think they could get a nice player in exchange. However he was in his first year of an extension and players locked up for 4 years rarely get moved that early into there deals.

What needs to be done:

The Brewers being a small market ball club are not in a position where they can throw money at there problems. The front office understands this and has done a wonderful job building through the draft. However all the top prospects in our system are currently with the club so dont expect a lot of help to come up from the minor league ranks next year as it did this year. Career Brewer, Geoff Jenkins, has been much maligned in his stead with the crew, but in all honesty he was pretty productive for his career. Though he cannot hit lefties and I dont see him coming back to be apart of another platoon. Look for Joe Dillon and Gabe Gross to split time in Left field next year. Hart and Hall seem to be the logical choice to share the other outfield spots, though I wouldnt be suprised if the Brewers shipped Hall to a team where he could play shortstop for a CF or a CF prospect. Maybe to the Dodgers for Matt Kemp??? My fingers are crossed. The infield is set for the next 4-5 years. With Fielder, Weeks, Hardy, and Braun, all we need here is continue to work on defense, one of the biggest problem areas for this years team, as well as there patient at the plate. All of the infielders except Hardy struck out over 100 times this year. Where the Brewers need to do the most work is in the bullpen. Both Scott Linebrink and Fransico Cordero are free agents at the end of the year, and though i fully expect the Brewers to offer each arbitration, I do not expect either players taking the offer, and expect both to leave via free agency. This leaves a big whole at the backend with Turnbow not a very good answer. Doug Melvin has shown in the past that he can find good bullpen arms for cheap, but I believe they will try and get a big name setup guy (Brad Lidge) and also a closer this off season. Look for the draft picks picked up with Linebrink and Cordero leaving, being used on pitching early in the draft as we continue to build from the bottom up. The starters seem to be set with Sheets, Gallardo, Villanueva, Suppan, and Capuano. I believe Cappy will get one more shot to be the player he was in 06' and Bush will start out in the pen and 6th starter when we need one. I look for Vargas to be with another team at the start of next year. Ned Yost got a vote of confidence so I believe he will have one more year to get this team to the post season before he is replaced. Dont be suprised if next years team very similar to this years, with some minor tweaks. We are counting on the progression of our young players to get us over the hump, and that we should with the amount of money we can spend on free agents.
