Sad But True

Entourage used to be one of my favorite shows, but sadly this video hits it right on the head. Each week something terrible happens to the guys, and the outlook is bleak only to have everything work out in the end. It is kind of like a Hollywood version of Power Rangers. It stil has some laughs, good cameos, and some beautiful bitches, but the show has jumped the shark, IMO.

That's why you have to admire a guy like Ricky Gervais, the creator of the original BBC series, The Office, which was reworked to be less interesting and less funny in 93 seasons of the U.S. version of the show.

Ricky did two short seasons of The Office and a Christmas special to wrap it up, and it was gone. No 19th season where they need the main character to leave and start his own company to try to force a way to continue to sell advertising for a 264th season of shit.

Amen to that. I love the british office, I was suprised that probably 3/4 of the first two seasons of the American version were almost identical. I agree the office is in the same boat with me. Quit while you are ahead! One of my roommates watched 24 all the time after 3 episodes i couldnt watch anymore, the just kept on recycling these events that could never possible happen. Few shows can last longer than 3-4 seasons. Seinfeld was the best at coming up with new stuff. I have to say I never got sick of any Curb seasons either. Anyways I am in the market for a new tv show to watch, anybody have any good suggestions?

You have probably seen the Wire already, if not, it is amazing. Otherwise I would give the Shield a try, or try watching David Lynch's Twin Peaks.

Great recommendation on The Wire. Just finished the first season of The Wire last night and waiting for more to arrive from Netflix. Great, great show so far.

Also, a lot of the Showtime series are great DVD viewing. The first couple seasons of Weeds were great. Starting to get annoying last season and this one looks awful. Californication's first season was genius.
